About this event
Join people from around the Episcopal Diocese of Olympia in streaming director Damon Gameau's "exercise in fact-based dreaming," 2040.
The film takes a solutions-based approach to how we can, using the technology we already have, mitigate the enormous global issues we currently face. 2040 is a story of hope, and a powerful tool to encourage people to take action. You can watch the trailer here.
Once registered, you will be sent a link to watch the film via email and then you are welcome to watch at your leisure, any time between Friday, November 13 (starting at 7:30 p.m.) and Sunday, November 22. That final Sunday, plan on joining us for a facilitated conversation about the film from 1 - 2:30 p.m. (Zoom information will be sent out separately.)
And encourage the teens in your life to join a 2040 viewing party on Sunday, November 15 at 1:00 p.m. RSVP to Diocesan Youth Ministry Leader, Alex Flannagan: youth@ecww.org.
This event sponsored in part by: The Bishop's Committee for the Environment; Drawdown Seattle; the Creation Care Ministry of Saint Mark's Episcopal Cathedral; and the Earth & Spirit Ministry of Grace Episcopal Church, Bainbridge Island.
